John has been involved in the disc golf world for over 30 years continuously since August 1978, the year he graduated from the prestigious Nichols School in Buffalo, NY. In 1982 he received his Bachelors degree in Math and English from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
Since then he has only worked in the disc golf industry, promoting disc sports and helping disc golf grow. He has published over 20 articles in sports magazines and is currently writing for Flying Disc Magazine, the official publication of the PDGA.
He co-founded and owns his personal brand of premium golf discs, MILLENNIUM. He has hosted and created numerous tournaments and events on the State, National, and World levels over the years.
He supports education for children and helping at-risk youth through his involvement with CARY (Council on At-Risk Youth), and creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy disc golf through World's Biggest Disc Golf Weekend and the Disc Golf Foundation. John enjoys the challenge of helping disc golf evolve into a more "mainstream" sport.
He has designed his business with the goal of offering opportunities to the general public, so that they can enjoy the sport through his courses, his events, and his line of golf discs.
John is looking forward to designing more courses worldwide and taking the art of course design to the next level of innovation so that the world can enjoy great disc golf courses. |
